Operating for over 35 years as the largest dedicated conference and exhibition space in central London, and located opposite Westminster Abbey, the QEII Centre is a world renowned location for high-profile conferences, conventions, exhibitions and corporate events, hosting over 400 national and international events each year.

Specifically targeting COVID-19 was a high priority. AIRsteril was selected for a variety of reasons, see why below.

Two Butcher shops were selected by the Butchery Association with similarly sized cold rooms, total microbial load was then measured in both before and after AIRsteril installation by Aliment laboratory (accredited Microbiological and Chemical Laboratory of Food & Water).Before units installation both cold stores showed an anticipated background level of microorganisms of >300 cfu/100m2. With the introduction of Air Steril levels fell to <1 cfu/100m2.

Strict control of the concentrations of airborne microorganisms (viruses, bacteria, fungi) is required in any hospital environment, most importantly in the communal areas and where higher risk individuals are present. The Cancer Hospital of Thessaloniki THEAGENIO, is one of the four anti-cancer hospitals in Greece and reportedly covers the medical needs of about 2/3 of the county’s population.

BRC Food Certified Stephen’s Fresh Foods were looking to take their hygiene management to an unprecedented high level. After extensive trials of the AIRsteril infection & odour control technology proved successful, they took the proactive decision to protect not only their high-risk areas but low risk as well using the AIRsteril Ultimate 4 technology. Since installation, bacteria TVC test results are now at an all-time low.

COP26 UN Climate Change Conference used AIRsteril products throughout the venue. This was the culmination of some very dedicated work by our customer, including the provision of a full spectrum of test data and demonstrating our infection control results including units installed at a previous government function.

AIRSteril’s technology has now been recruited in a bid to overcome the COVID-19 crisis in the events sector. Brussels EXPO have installed our air purification units over a huge floor space of 120,000 m2 in a bid to get the venue up and exhibiting again.
